Our principles are rooted in the theories of John Dewey, Lev Vygotsky and Jean Piaget. Our program encompasses methods prescribed by various teaching models in a play-based and emergent curriculum. We incorporate what we feel are the best methods of each model into our program as they fit our philosophy of child development, early care, and education.
Our center follows guidelines set forth by the State of California Preschool Curriculum Framework, the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and the California Program for Infant/Toddler Care (PITC).
Our teaching practices are influenced by the post modern theories of Experiential Education, “Learning is the process whereby knowledge is created through the transformation of experience” (David A. Kolb) and the Whole Child perspective (Holistic Learning).
