1. What are your hours of operation?
Future Assets is open Monday through Friday 7:30am to 6:00pm.
2. How old must my child be to attend your school?
Future Assets serves children from two months through Kindergarten.
3. Is there a particular time of year to enroll my child?
You may enroll your child any time there is an opening in our program.
4. Is your program a year-around program?
Our program operates twelve months per year. Future Assets changes the curricula for the months of July and August. The activities become appropriate to the summer season and are oriented toward camp activities. The children enjoy extended outside time which includes water play. Their days (based on themes) will include arts and crafts, stories, camp songs, and center-based Special Events. The cost of Special Events is not included in the regular tuition.
5. Can I bring my child on your tour?
Our tour takes approximately 45 to 75 minutes. Since arranging for your child's care and education is one of the most important decisions you will make, we would like you to leave our tour with as much information as possible. It would be less distracting for you to speak alone with our representative. You may then schedule a second visit which would center on your child. Your child will be able to enjoy interaction with the teachers, children, and the program.
6. Do you take the children off the center's premises?
Children three years and older may participate in walks and fieldtrips. Children will be escorted on walks by their regular classroom teachers. Teachers will follow a pre-prescribed route and carry a cell phone. We also go on two to three fieldtrips per year which are chaperoned by the classroom teachers and parent volunteers. The cost of fieldtrips is not included in the regular tuition.
7. Do you serve breakfast? Lunch?
Breakfast at Future Assets begins at 7:30am and concludes at 8:00am. We also serve two nutritionally balanced snacks each day accompanied by milk. We ask parents to provide lunch each day. We find that children eat better when provided with foods that they are familiar with and enjoy. We encourage children to try new foods at snack time.
8. Does my child need to be toilet trained?
Since Future Assets is a developmental program, we have no specific age requirement for success in toileting. We begin the training process when your child shows signs of readiness. Teachers will work with you in the training process. This usually occurs when children are between the ages of two and three. Of course, occasional accidents are normal for all preschool children.
9. Do you provide any extra-curricular activities?
We offer a tumbling program for our three and four year old children. Fees for this program are paid separately to an independent instructor. Participation in this program is voluntary. The children do not miss any part of the regularly scheduled program as the tumbling class takes place during their scheduled outside time.
10. Can I visit my child at school?
Parents are welcome at anytime. We ask that you base your visit on consideration for your own child, his/her classmates, and the teachers. You might want to discuss with the teachers what would work best for all considered.
11. If my child is enrolled and we need to withdraw for some reason, can I get my deposit refunded?
In the event of an early withdrawal, a written notice of withdrawal must be received by the school on or before the 25th day of the month prior to the last month of attendance. For example, if you plan for May to be your last month of attendance, a written notice of withdrawal must be received on or before April 25th. All fees paid upon enrollment are non-refundable.
